The subject of the contract is the professional repair of the tubular motor sent in by the customer. The motor sent in remains the property of the customer at all times.
By sending in the motor, the customer commissions the repair service and demands that this begins before the cancellation period expires.

The electronic Somfy motor
The Oximo, Ilmo and ILT motor series are electronic controlled tubular motors with automatic limit position detection. You can either move to a freely parameterized fixed limit position or position it against a stop using torque control. This means they work particularly quietly, precisely and gently on materials.
In addition, these motors have intelligent protection functions such as freeze detection and obstacle detection, which reliably protect the roller shutters and drive from damage.
Particularly worth mentioning is the Somfy ILT – a motor with EIB (European Installation Bus), later called KNX. This bus control enables integration into complex building automation. Since these motors are no longer produced today, a repair is particularly worthwhile, as replacing or purchasing a new one would be very expensive and comparable models are hardly available anymore.

This repair applies to the following error patterns
- Roller shutters go down, but only go up again with support
- Motor runs, hums or responds with a delay
- Clear “clack” noise when changing direction

- Sending: Send in the defective motor properly packaged (shipping costs for buyer).

- Return shipping: Return shipping is generally possible, but only at the usual package costs if the motor sent in is packaged in a stable, space-saving and safe manner for transport. In the case of bulky or inadequate packaging (e.g. tube or bulky goods boxes), I reserve the right to invoice the additional costs of return shipping separately.
Processing time & shipping time
- The motor will be repaired no later than the following working day after receipt of the goods.
- The return usually takes place within another working day.
- Processing time may vary depending on platform and shipping method; exact information will be provided when the order is placed.
Important requirements
Repair only for selected Somfy models (see variant list)
No repairs in the event of total damage (e.g. water damage, burnt out windings, defective gears or brakes, as well as overvoltage damage)
The motor must not have been opened or tampered with
Product safety and quality
All repairs are carried out in accordance with the relevant safety standards and ensure that the motor functions properly. Changes to the house installation may only be made by qualified electricians.

Upon request, I offer a rental cable for adjusting or resetting the motor. Please contact us in advance.
Warranty
A statutory warranty of 2 years applies exclusively to the installed spare parts.
A warranty on the entire motor or other components is excluded.

Troubleshooting promise for tubular motors
Is your tubular motor no longer responding, only moving briefly or acknowledging it with a typical “clack” noise? Not every fault means the unit is beyond economical repair.In many cases, motors can be sent in and repaired directly. However, if the error patterns are unclear or borderline, I recommend a brief preliminary phone consultation. This makes it possible to assess in advance whether a repair seems realistic or whether there may be a total loss.
Following prior consultation, my fault-diagnosis guarantee applies: I carefully assess the submitted tubular motor for repairability. If a repair is technically impractical or not economically viable, you will only be charged the agreed fault-diagnosis fee of €20 plus possible return shipping.
In any case, you will receive a transparent professional assessment and then decide for yourself how to proceed.

Resetting a tubular motor and setting the limit positions – optional adjustment cable rental
To restore the factory settings or readjust the limit positions, many 230 V tubular motors may require an adjustment cable. This is particularly useful when the reset sequence has to be activated at the circuit breaker (fuse) and the motor is neither visible nor within hearing distance.
Many drives confirm the reset with a clicking sound or a brief movement of the motor. A universal adjustment and reset cable available for rental lets you carry out commissioning or resetting in a more controlled manner without repeatedly moving between the motor and the fuse box.
The rental cable is not included with this motor offer, but can be ordered separately from the shop, subject to availability.

Mein somfy WT 50 hatte schlechte Laune, bei geschlossenen Rollo ging 'Auf' nur bei nochmals 'Ab' wieder nach oben. Vom Postweg bis zur Rücksendung war die Reparatur innerhalb einer Woche erledigt. Bei Rücksendung war noch eine Montageanleitung dabei. Unbedingt zu empfehlen, es ist viel nachhaltiger und preiswerter als neu zu kaufen.
