The electronic Simu motor for awnings

The Simu T5/T6 ESP motors are electronically controlled drives specifically developed for cassette awnings and counter-tension systems. They combine precise limit-stop technology with a robust mechanical design, ensuring exact stopping points when extending and retracting the awning.

Thanks to electronic limit detection, the settings remain stored permanently and can be re-parameterised if required. These motors operate with exceptional smoothness and long service life, making them ideal for high-quality awning constructions and counter-tension mechanisms.

Each repair is carried out in a certified workshop, electronically tested and configured with the original factory parameters for awning drives – “tested” for the next outdoor season.

Return shipping: Return shipping is generally possible at standard parcel rates, provided the motor is securely packed and as compact as possible. For bulky or insufficient packaging (e.g., long tube boxes), I reserve the right to charge any additional return-shipping costs separately.

The motor is repaired no later than the next business day after receipt.
Return shipping usually occurs within the following business day.

Important requirements

Repair only for selected Simu models (see variant list)
No repair possible in cases of total damage (e.g., water damage, burnt windings, defective gearbox or brake, or overvoltage damage)
Motor must not have been opened or tampered with

Product safety and quality

All repairs are carried out in accordance with the relevant safety standards and ensure the proper function of the motor. Changes to the building’s electrical installation may only be carried out by qualified electricians.

Service & extras

Upon request, I offer a loan cable for setting or resetting the motor. Please contact me beforehand.

Warranty

A statutory 2-year warranty applies exclusively to the installed replacement parts.

No warranty applies to the entire motor or other components.
