Elero CSM-E SunTop Tubular Motor Repair – Specialist Workshop for Electronic Awning Motors with Limit Switch Technology
Your Elero tubular motor says:
“I was the motor that always knew when to stop – precise, quiet and reliable in daily operation.”
“At Thomas Reh, my electronics were tested and my limit positions were recalibrated – ready to move the awning with confidence once again.”
The electronic Elero motor for awnings
The electronic tubular motors CSM-E and SunTop from Elero were specifically developed for articulated-arm awnings and cassette awnings. They combine precise limit switch technology with a robust mechanical design, ensuring accurate stop points when extending and retracting the awning – even after many operating cycles.
Thanks to their precise limit shut-off and durable components, these motors are especially suited for demanding awning applications, such as cassette or counter-traction systems. The electronic limit position detection remains stored permanently and can be easily readjusted if required – ideal for long-term operation.
Each repair is performed in a certified workshop, electronically tested, and set according to the original awning-motor parameters – “tested” for reliable performance under sun, wind and weather.
Advantages compared with purchasing a new motor
- Sustainable: Environmentally friendly repair instead of replacement – proven electronics stay in service.
- Cost-efficient: Repair is more economical than replacement; no conversion or new controller required.
- Automatic limit positions: After refurbishment, the electronic limit settings remain stored – unless a factory reset is required.
- Reliable: Electronics are tested to ensure precise limit positioning for awnings and counter-traction systems.
- Compatible: Suitable for awning systems with Elero controls or external timers.
- Also for older models: Repair often possible after diagnosing the fault beforehand.
This repair applies to the following fault patterns
- Awnings extend but retract only with manual assistance
- Motor runs, hums, or responds with delay
- Distinct “click” noise when changing direction
